I am Phoenix

Exciting news that I need to share here! The big editing project that I've been working on with a new author is almost complete!  The book is currently in the self-publication process and should be ready by the end of August! The wonderful book, I am Phoenix will be available on Amazon shortly.  I am so very excited about this book and it's potential.  I'll be sending out query letters soon for agents/publishers as I'd like to see it published by a well known publishing house as well.  The author has worked so hard on this story and I am so proud and honored that I have been able to partake in this journey with her.  Below is what the cover, front and back, will look like.  Isn't it pretty?!

Here is a synopsis of the book, which is on the back cover, but as the picture is a bit small, I'll copy it below so you can read it.

ARISE FROM THE ASHES AND BE REBORN.
I AM PHOENIX; MAGGIE PHOENIX; BORN OF THE GODS OF ATLANTIS.
MEMORIES OF MY PAST; I HAVE NONE.
SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH BEHIND MY BEST FRIEND'S MURDER, HIDDEN SECRETS WILL SOON ARISE.
WITH THE HELP OF HYPNOSIS, I START TO REMEMBER; I HAVE LIVED MANY LIVES, BUT THOSE LIVES ARE BURIED DEEP AND FORGOTTEN.
REMEMBERING THE PAST IS TO MAKE WAY FOR THE FUTURE AND THERE IS NO FUTURE WITHOUT THE PAST.
SOME MEMORIES ARE BETTER LEFT FORGOTTEN...

This is a lovely fiction novel full of mystery, sci-fi, suspense, drama, and romance all wrapped up into one package!  If you are interested in Atlantis and the Gods, reincarnation, figuring out a huge mystery, and finding out deep buried secrets than this is a book for you! It is a wonderful journey of discovery into ones past and how that will ultimately shape the future.  There are wonderful sensory details and images all throughout the book.  You feel like you are in the mind of the main character and can feel what she feels, all the raw emotions that come to play with each obstacle that she must overcome in order to figure out her history and her past.  It is truly a wonderful story and I can't wait until it is out in the world for everyone to enjoy as much as I have!

(A more in-depth book review to come, once the story is available for everyone else to enjoy!)

As always, I'll leave you with a quote.

Happy Reading!

Book Review and Book News

I've posted a book review under my book review section.  It is about the book The Lantern by Deborah Lawrenson.  I just finished reading it and was quite happy with the choice.  It was a bit slow in the beginning, but once I got past that, it was a wonderful story and had a pleasant ending.  No spoiler alerts so feel free to go check it out!

I am happy to say that there are quite a few books that will be coming out in the near future that I am super excited about...
Blackberry Winter by Sarah Jio comes out on September 25th.
The Shadow of Horses by Susanna Kearsley comes out October 1st.
Is It Tomorrow by Caroline Leavitt comes out October 7th.
One Hundred Names by Cecelia Ahern comes out October 11th (from amazon uk though).
The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton comes out October 16th.
(lots of book reviews coming!!)

As my birthday is in the beginning of November, it looks like I'll be treating myself to a handful of early birthday presents....because, if you know me, I will not be able to wait! :)

My current book that I am reading is Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.  I'll let you all know how that goes!

As always, I'll leave you with a quote!

Happy reading!

As always, I'll leave you with a quote!
